With glamour, grace and an inner fire that blazed a trail
for generations,
the legendary Lena Horne has never failed to amaze! Taking
both Hollywood and the music industry by storm, her voice
has resonated throughout the decades, not only through her
incredible vocal talent ("From This Moment On," "The Lady
is a Tramp" and of course "Stormy Weather"), but also
through her determination to fight for what she believed.
Don't miss the incredible Leslie Uggams in this new
musical extravaganza as she takes us on the sometimes
stormy, always extraordinary journey of an American icon.

Los Angeles Premiere
HUNTER GATHERERS
Written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb
Directed by Dámaso Rodriguez
January 24 - February 21, 2009
(Previews January 21-23)
The Los Angeles premiere of the 2006 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/American
Theatre Critics Association New Play Award-winner finds Pam and Richard
hosting their best friends, Wendy and Tom, for an annual dinner
get-together. An animal sacrifice kicks off the evening, followed by a
little more sex, violence, deception, wrestling, and dancing than at
previous parties. A darkly comic evening where the line between civilized
and primal man is blurred, and where not everyone will survive long enough
to enjoy the brownies for dessert.
Upstairs at the Pasadena Playhouse in the Carrie Hamilton Theatre

AIR GUITAR HIGH
By Laura Schellhardt

February 2009
Nothing ever happens in Scrug, Iowa. At least that's what the kids who
attend Scrug High School will tell you. Until the US Regional Air Guitar
Championships come through town, that is. Then things start to happen in
Scrug, Iowa. Then things start to happen "for realz." AIR GUITAR HIGH is the
high-octane story of a group of teenagers determined to take their futures
into their own hands. Literally.
