Musical Theater Boot Camp  | 

Will Pellegrini received his BA in Theater from UCLA and his MFA in Directing from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Will has had an extensive television career; he’s worked in a variety of roles and on numerous TV shows, including Fox’s musical hit, Glee. Outside of television, Will is an independent filmmaker who’s directed several music videos and short films. His numerous LA theater credits include work at The Actors’ Gang, Theater of NOTE, and East LA College Theater Arts Department – where he’s an adjunct professor. He is also an award-winning scenic designer and puppeteer!

A recent Los Angeles transplant, Adam spent almost a decade on the road with Wicked and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. In LA, he helms a classical/pop fusion piano trio, teaches all facets of music from kindergarten thru Broadway at his personal studio, and plays for the Broadway tours that come through the Pantages and Dolby Theaters.

• If participants cancel at least ten (10) days before the start of that class or camp, they may receive a full refund.
• Participants cancelling between 9 -1 days before the start of class or camp may receive a 50% refund.
• No refunds for classes cancelled the first day of a class or camp, or anytime after the class or camp has started.
• Students should have no more than 1 planned absence from their class or camp.
• Refunds are issued through our Box Office (626-356-7629). When cancelling a class, please also email education@pasadenaplayhouse.org with your student’s name, the name of the class/camp you are cancelling, and the start date of the class.

• No – all campers should come with a packed lunch and snacks!

• We will open our doors at 8:50am. Until then, we are not responsible for supervising your camper. Pick up is at 3:30pm. There is no aftercare available at this time.

• Musical Theater Boot Camp is an advanced training program designed for high school students who want to pursue musical theatre in college, professionally, or in their communities. Your student must have completed their freshman year of high school to be eligible for the camp. Musical Theater Boot Camp is by audition only. If your 14 or 15 year old is newer to theatre or would not want to undergo an audition process, we recommend enrolling them in Playhouse Players Next Stage: 13 Jr.

• There will be 25 students admitted.

• • Camp is from 9:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Campers will rotate through acting/scene study class, private vocal coaching, group dance/choreography class, audition workshops, and more – taught by a team of 3 instructors: one for Acting, one for Voice/Music, and one for Dance. All of the instructors will collaborate on the students’ final showcase of Boot Camp.

• Every day, your camper should come with:
  • A lunch and snacks
  • A water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Clothes they can move in comfortably

• Yes, Boot Camp students will perform a showcase of what they’ve worked on throughout the 2-week session. The showcase will take place on their last day of camp, July 25th, at the Carrie Hamilton Black Box Theatre There both will be an afternoon and evening performance – exact times TBD. More details about the showcase will be given to the families closer to the start of Boot Camp, but plan to have your student occupied until 7:30pm on the final day of Boot Camp.
