September 5 — September 30Good fences don’t always make good neighbors, but they do make for great comedy in this new play directed by Jason Alexander (Seinfeld). An attorney on the rise and his very pregnant wife couldn’t feel more welcomed by their new neighbors. But when a friendly disagreement about the lay of the land escalates into a backyard brawl, cultures collide and mudslinging ensues…literally.

Karen Zacarías (Playwright)
Karen Zacarías was recently hailed as one of the most produced playwrights in the United States. Her award-winning plays include: Destiny of Desire, Native Gardens, The Book Club Play, Legacy of Light, Mariela in the Desert, The Sins of Sor Juana, the adaptations of Just Like Us, Into The Beautiful North, Ella Enchanted, and How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accent. She is the author of ten renowned Theater for Young Audience musicals and the librettist of several Ballets. She is one of the inaugural resident playwrights at Arena Stage, a core founder of the Latinx Theatre Commons, and a founder of Young Playwrights’ Theater. Jason directed the world premiere of Windfall at Arkansas Rep. For film and TV he has directed: For Better or Worse, Just Looking, Seinfeld, Criminal Minds, Mike and Molly, Franklin and Bash, Everybody Hates Chris and Brad Paisley’s Online video (Country Music Award). Christian is an LA based sound designer, mix engineer, composer, and member of IATSE Local 33 who has been Head of Audio at Pasadena Playhouse for nearly three years. In addition to being the mix engineer for the Playhouse’s productions, he has also worked as the production engineer and associate designer for recent productions including: Allegiance (East West Players, JACCC), Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Rose (Lythgoe Family Productions),CTG’s 50th Anniversary Celebration (Center Theater Group), and The 28th Annual Ovation Awards (LA Stage Alliance).
