Alfred was born in Paddington, London to a Spanish immigrant father and an Italian immigrant mother who moved to Britain after WWII. A seasoned theater and film actor, Molina has been featured in an extensive range of plays and films, from Oklahoma! in the West End (which earned him a Laurence Olivier Award nomination) to Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2. Alfred made his Broadway debut in Yasmina Reza’s Art in 1998 and subsequently performed on Broadway as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Mark Rothko in Red. Alfred has been nominated for three BAFTA Awards, two Emmy Awards, one Golden Globe Award, five SAG Awards, three Tony Awards, and two Olivier Awards over the course of his career. He was last seen on the Playhouse stage in his award-winning role in The Father (Ovation Award, LA Drama Critics Circle Award). He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, director Jennifer Lee.

David’s acting career spans more than three decades on the New York stage and includes over 20 Broadway and Off-Broadway plays and musicals, recently Tim Blake Nelson’s Socrates at The Public Theater and Tracy Letts’ Mary Page Marlowe at Second Stage Theater. He has even performed at New York City Opera and narrated for the New York City Ballet. Additionally, David has been in numerous films, frequently appears on television and received several awards for audiobook narrations. His previous Los Angeles stage performance was at Geffen Playhouse, in the world premiere of Neil Simon’s Rose and Walsh. David attended Illinois State University, graduated from the University of Texas, Austin (BFA), and received a diploma from The Juilliard School.

Jared returns to the Playhouse after his debut in A Little Night Music, following debuts at Carnegie Hall and the National Tour of South Pacific as Emile de Becque. Jared’s operatic credits include Escamillo in Carmen (Charleston Opera Theater), the title role in Don Giovanni (Seattle Opera), The Pilot in The Little Prince (Utah Opera), Lescaut in Manon Lescaut (Liceu Opera Barcelona), the title role in The Barber of Seville (Arizona Opera), and covered the title role of Steve Jobs in the world premiere opera (Santa Fe Opera). Jared is featured on CBS’ primetime drama FBI as Sean Ellis, upcoming Russo brothers-produced film Something’s More than One Thing as Joey and award-winning web series Love in 2020 as Jagger Bloom.

Marlene Forte is a Cuban American actor and a founding member of LAByrinth Theater Company in NYC where she started her career. Today, she makes her home and living in Los Angeles, and has been working on TV and film for over 25 years with over 110 TV and film credits. Most recently seen on Netflix’s Lincoln Lawyer, ABC’s The Rookie, and Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe on Amazon Prime. Despite being married to playwright Oliver Mayer, she doesn’t perform on stage as much as she would like! This will be her first appearance at Pasadena Playhouse, and she is thrilled.

Recent credits include Lend Me a Tenor (Tito) with International City Theatre; Rock of Ages (Herz) in Hilton Head, SC; Annie (Daddy Warbucks) with Tuacahn Center for the Arts (UT). Past credits include Ragtime (Father) with Musical Theatre West, The Sound of Music (Capt. von Trapp) and Peter Pan (Capt. Hook) with the Anchorage Concert Association, South Pacific (Emile de Becque) with the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Broadway National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera (Piangi). Other notable credits include productions with Goodspeed Opera House, Papermill Playhouse, North Shore, Sacramento Music Circus, Arizona Theatre Company, and Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Matt began performing at American Theater Company in Chicago. He then pursued a BFA in Acting from USC School of Dramatic Arts where he received two separate student acting awards. Since graduating, Matt’s work has included a recurring role on Apple TV+’s Silo, a guest lead on NBC’s Chicago P.D., and a co-starring role in an upcoming independent feature titled The Wilderness. Matt is making his Pasadena Playhouse debut.

Michael is best known for his five seasons as gang attorney Maury Levy on HBO’s The Wire. His long list of television credits includes Wizard of Lies, The Plot Against America, The Deuce, and recurring roles on Law & Order: SVU, Platonic, Billions, and The Blacklist. Michael has toured the country with Les Misérables as the comic villain Thénardier, and with The Producers, understudying Max Bialystock, a role he’s since played in seven regional productions. He’s the author of Audition Psych 101 (based on his popular class of the same name) and the co-author of The Stage Actor’s Handbook: Traditions, Protocols, and Etiquette for the Working and Aspiring Professional. Michael is also a teacher and audition coach.
